We're super proud to announce our partnership with The Cova Project.
We are working together to provide sustainable menstrual hygiene solutions, flow cups, educational materials and knowledge around personal health and development to girls and women in our Accra communities who are experiencing disadvantage due to lack of financial resources and access to basic necessities.
Over the International Women’s Day weekend, we hosted workshops for over 100 women from the YEVU community of Amasaman, Accra (some taking place in our brand new training and production centre!). These women are part of our immediate YEVU community and we hope that we can become a community hub and safe haven for these women. This week we ran the first of a few workshops with women from the Zongo community of Accra who are a minority Muslim group in West Africa. In Ghana today, they are a microcosm of people from the lower classes of tribes from Northern and Southern Ghana.
Our partnership with The Cova project is part of our community impact initiative. We are finally in a position where we can support women beyond the walls of our production hub, and into the community, reaching girls and women that have been excluded from access to education, put her at risk of infection or force her to use her body as currency in order to buy pads.

These women are part of the Zongo Women’s Fellowship, an NGO that run employment programs taught by women in leadership positions in Ghana. The Zongo’s are a minority Muslim group in West Africa. In Ghana today, they are a microcosm of people from the lower classes of tribes from Northern and Southern Ghana. We are grateful to have held a workshop with these women today, and we look forward to following up with them over the next 3 months to see how they like (or don’t like) menstrual cups!
